The Road Apple Express |
We have reorganized our club to hopefully make better for members and perspective members.
First- we have cut our meetings from 4 to 2. This makes it easier for people to attend, especially if your as busy as I am! We will have one in the spring (March 21 this year) and one in the fall (to be set at the first meeting)
Second- we have lowered our dues. With the economy as it is, we don't want anyone to feel that they can't join because of expense. The dues per year were $12 for a single and 20 for a family. Now they are $5 for a single and $10 for a family.
We are going to cancel our post office box so any mail will actually come to one of the officers house's.
We will no longer be giving $30 to the host's of campouts (not many actually used this).
We will be using the dues to do 2 things. Pay for our non-profit status AND pay for the Main course at our fall meeting. This way everyone benefits from their membership.
We have set aside the old bylaws with the committees and such to make things simpler. We will keep the Officers as they are until someone wants to switch, at which time we will ask for volunteers. We will also expect people to remain courteous during any camping or riding. This is usually not a problem.
This promises to be an exciting year as we adjust to the "new" ideas. I look forward to seeing all of you on the trails, at camp and at our meetings!
